Marriott Marquis Houston
Kane's reputation for being "ahead of the game" took on an entirely new meaning with the completion of the Marriott Marquis Houston project.
Balfour Beatty, one of the general contractors appointed to oversee construction on the luxurious Marriott Marquis hotel in Houston, Texas, was in search of a railing manufacturer able expedite production and installation in time for Super Bowl LI and prior to the hotel's grand opening in December 2016. Kane Innovations' Sterling Dula brand was ultimately selected for their product quality, customization capability and - above all - speed.
The Sterling Dula team implemented slight changes to fulfill a request from Morris Architects, while pricing and expediting options were presented to joint-venture contractors Balfour Beatty and Welbro.
The project features 844 feet of Sterling Dula brand Chesterfield railing from Kane Innovations and surrounds all 64,000 square feet of outdoor space on the Parkview Terrace. The amenity deck is unique in its design due to the Texas-shaped lazy river, an infinity pool and a number of other guest conveniences.
The 30-story property was featured in areal pre-game footage of the city during SuperBowl LI, with Kane's Sterling Dula railing taking center stage.
