ERIE, Pennsylvania – March 2, 2018 - Dan Weidler, an American Welding Society Certified Welding Inspector and metals industry expert, has joined Kane Innovations' Erie production team. In his new role as third shift supervisor, Mr. Weidler will oversee the growth and development of Erie's newly-added third shift operations.
Weidler, a lifelong resident of Girard, Pennsylvania, is no stranger to the manufacturing world. Prior to accepting his position at Kane Innovations, Mr. Weidler was involved in fabrications training, weld school coordinating and process technical advising as a Global Process Leader at General Electric (GE). Other experience includes eleven years as a CAD and architectural drafting instructor at Girard and Erie high schools, followed by a ten year tenure at BC Fabricators in purchasing, inside sales and drafting.
Weidler is a graduate of California University of Pennsylvania, is a Six Sigma Green Belt and currently holds 24 graduate credits in education. He says his goals at Kane are to improve overall efficiency, elevate quality processes, and develop standard operating procedures for railing fabrications.
"We couldn't be more excited to have Dan Weidler aboard as third shift supervisor," said Curt Johnson, Kane Innovations Director of Operations and Project Management. "We see big things ahead for Erie’s production department with Dan at the helm of a number of important initiatives.”
Mr. Weidler is the proud father of two sons, Seth and Shane, and is an avid car enthusiast, currently in the process of fully restoring a 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle.
